Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
(NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education)
We are looking for an enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join the team in our Waterside Day Care building to start as soon as possible. The post is permanent.
FULL TIME EQUIVALENT
RG3 SCP 5-7 £25,583– £26,403
*RG3 SCP 8-11 £26,824 - £28,142
*(above the gateway if gateway progression achieved)
(Successful candidates will normally start at the first point of the grade to which they are appointed)
This is a part-time post offered for 3 days per week on either early/late shift on a rota or compressed over 2 days.
Early shift is 7.45am to 4pm, late shift is 10am to 6.15pm with an hour for lunch break.

- Have experience of working with SEND children or have an interest in working with SEND children.
- Have experience of working with children aged 2 to 4 years old and in the delivery of high quality childcare and education.
- Be creative, dynamic and a good communicator and be a team player.
- Have a flexible approach to your work with a warm, caring attitude.

35 hrs per week – 8am to 4.30pm Monday
8am to 3.15pm Tuesday to Friday

Apprentice - Waterside Day Care
37 Hours per week - Fixed term for 12/18 months – Term Time Required ASAP
Salary: £24,309 (£12.60 per hour)
Are you passionate about working with children 3 months to 5 years old and eager to start your career in Early Years Education?
Waterside Day care is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our supportive and friendly team.
About the Role:
As an Apprentice, you will:
- Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
- Support the development of children’s social, emotional, and educational needs through engaging activities and play.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised Early Years qualification.
You will be supported in gaining experience and confidence with young children whilst studying to gain your Level 2/3 Early Years Apprenticeship.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about supporting young children’s development.
- Is eager to learn and committed to completing their Early Years apprenticeship.
- Has good communication and teamwork skills.
- ·Has a caring and responsible attitude and be committed to work in a busy environment with a flexible approach to work
No prior experience is necessary, but a genuine enthusiasm for Early Years education is essential.
Casual Hours Early Years staff required to work in our innovative, friendly and exciting setting!
£12.85 per hour
Shifts are offered as and when required, to cover absence of staff due to training, annual leave etc. The Centre is open 8am to 6pm.
You may be contacted at short notice on the day to work due to staff absence or be given hrs up to 2 weeks in advance of the shifts we need you to work.
